Life can be a rollercoaster. One minute you are going up and the next you are coming down. I’ve persevered through many hardships that have made my life unique, but I do not let them define me.

I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was just 9 years old. Then throughout my 20s, I struggled with my health even more. Sometimes managing my health feels like a full-time job, and I know that I am not the only one that feels that way. So with that, I wanted to find a way to share my story in a creative way and also educate others on such an important topic that is often overlooked or disregarded. Did you know that Diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death?

In this book, I sought out to combine typography and illustrations to bring my story to life and allow the reader to join me on my journey as I navigate the world. For those struggling with similar experiences, remember, you are NOT alone!
